Free Breakfast to Midlothian Rotary Applicants

rotary_logo_detail_DIGITALCHESTERFIELD, VA–Chris Winslow, Partner of Winslow & McCurry, PLLC and incoming 2014-2015 President of the Midlothian Rotary Club announced today that he will purchase breakfast for one guest per week to foster interest in club membership.

“If you live in Chesterfield and you are interested in learning more about the Midlothian Rotary Club and the many ways we serve the public, I will buy your breakfast at one of our regular Tuesday meetings,” said Winslow.

The Midlothian Rotary Club — 82 members strong — is a member club of Rotary International, a worldwide service organization of business and professional leaders working together to provide humanitarian service, encouraging ethics in vocation and build goodwill and peace around the globe.  The Midlothian Rotary Club was chartered on September 13, 1983 and we are connected to more than 1.2 million Rotarians in more than 34,000 clubs worldwide.

Above all, Midlothian Rotarians value service to our community.  This is embodied in the cherished RI motto “Service Above Self.”  In 2013, the Midlothian Rotary Club was recognized by the Chesterfield County Board of Supervisors for its 25th year of the Midlothian Food Festival.  Through this event and other fundraisers over the years, the club has raised and donated more than $2.5 million to charities supporting children, families and the elderly.  Whether recognizing Students of the Year in partnership with Chesterfield County Public Schools or supporting Rotary’s international effort to eradicate polio or promoting literacy through dictionary projects or mentoring students in local schools, the impact of the Midlothian Rotary Club is significant.  This Spring, the Midlothian Rotary Club was recognized by the Chesterfield School Board chaired by Diane Smith as “Community Partner of the Year.”

“We are always looking to add like-minded professionals to our membership rank and file.”
